What areas of law does the firm specialize in?

Our firm specializes in the following practice areas:

  • corporate shareholder disputes

  • partnership dissolution litigation

  • general commercial litigation

  • business succession planning

  • trust and estate planning

  • non-compete agreements and litigation

  • trade secret litigation

  • employment law (including discrimination and wage claims)

  • personal injury law

  • medical malpractice

  • nursing home injury/abuse

However, we have experience in many other areas of law and may be able to assist you even if your claim is not in one of the practice areas listed above. We also refer cases to other attorneys who specialize in practice areas which are outside our expertise.

I do not have money to hire an attorney, can I still pursue a claim?

Our firm takes many cases on contingency fee, which means the fee for services is paid upon successful completion of the services and usually calculated as a percentage of the recovery realized for the client.  In addition, there are many types of claims where attorney’s fees are statutorily or contractually provided.

How long do I have to file a lawsuit?

The statute of limitations for most legal claims is at least one year or greater; however, the statute of limitations depends on the type of claim(s) you may have and the prerequisites for bringing that claim(s). If you think you may have a claim, it is always best to contact an attorney immediately so that you can ensure that the statute of limitations for your claim does not expire.

What type of damages can I recover?

The types of damages available are dependent on the type of case you may have. Please call our intake specialists regarding your case to receive more information about the types of damages you could potentially recover.
