Wendy Bennett   Paralegal/Office Administrator

Wendy Bennett is a licensed Paralegal and has over 13 years of experience.  Ms. Bennett has worked on numerous matters ranging from employment law litigation, to assisting attorneys in representing clients in disputes involving complex business/partnership disputes/dissolutions; restrictive covenant/executive employment contracts; wage and hour disputes involving state laws and the Fair Labor Standards Act; and discrimination cases involving the ADEA, ADA, disability, gender, race, sex, sexual harassment and pregnancy under Title VII and the Florida Civil Rights Act.  Ms. Bennett has also been a licensed Florida Notary since 1999.

 Ms. Bennett started her legal career by earning her Professional Legal Secretary certification from Webster College.   She then began working part-time in a small law firm in Bradenton, Florida in the areas of general civil litigation and real estate title work.  After moving to the Tampa bay area, Ms. Bennett worked in the administration field for the next several years and then obtained a legal secretarial position with the Pasco County Public defendant’s office.  After gaining valuable legal experience in criminal law including felony and misdemeanor cases, she worked for a firm who represented clients against the insurance companies for residential property damage claims, including sinkholes, fires and water damage.  Ms. Bennett was then hired by a firm who handled personal injury cases including auto accidents, slip and fall cases as well as state and federal criminal cases and eminent domain.   Ms. Bennett worked for this firm for five years and during her employment went back to college and earned her A.S degree from Rasmussen College and graduated Cum Laude.

 After graduation Ms. Bennett was hired as a Paralegal with a law firm in Tampa, Florida. She continued working in the personal injury area and then was introduced to the worker’s compensation area of law.  After two and half years, Ms. Bennett was introduced the labor and employment area.  Ms. Bennett continues to assist in helping clients with unlawful employment practices including unpaid wages, including overtime, and discrimination based on age, disability, gender, race, sex, and pregnancy as well as sexual harassment.
